Bronson Arroyo whitewashed Lewisville on 3 hits and Keith Ginter had 4 hits
and 3 RBI as the spectacular Jefferson Park Penguins clobbered the outmatched
Lewisville Fire Ants, 18 to 0.
The Jefferson Park fans enjoyed the offense provided by Ginter. He smacked a
single in the 1st inning, stroked a base-hit plating a run in the 4th inning,
lashed a one-base hit in the 5th inning and cracked a two-run shot (his 7th
of the season) in the 6th inning. Jefferson Park provided plenty of action
in the 4th inning which saw them plate 6 runs on 7 hits and the 5th inning
with 6 runs on 6 hits. Jefferson Park finished with 23 hits in the victory.
Arroyo(7-7) was credited with the shutout. Mark Buehrle(9-10) suffered the
loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 8 runs in 3 and 1/3
innings.
'He had his 'A' game today,' Steve Seydell said of Arroyo. 'Very impressive
performance.'
